Amazon Accelerates Logistics Network Expansion in Brazil: Measures, Achievements and Philosophy
Against the backdrop of increasingly fierce competition in the global e-commerce market, Amazon has continued to make efforts in the Brazilian market, accelerating the expansion of its logistics network. Through a series of measures, it has continuously improved its service capabilities and brought positive impacts on local economic and social development.

I. Key Measures for Logistics Network Expansion
Amazon has taken frequent actions to expand its logistics network in Brazil, showing a multi-dimensional advancement.
At present, Amazon has built 200 operational hubs in Brazil, which are widely distributed and cover 26 states across the country, forming a relatively complete logistics infrastructure framework. In the past 18 months, its expansion pace has significantly accelerated, with 140 new facilities added, further densifying the layout of the logistics network.
In terms of project cooperation, the “Amazon Hub” project has achieved remarkable results. This project has successfully helped more than 700 local small enterprises transform into distribution centers, not only integrating local resources but also improving the efficiency of end-to-end delivery. At the same time, Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program is also advancing actively. By cooperating with local enterprise Favela Llog, 16 delivery stations have been set up in slums, effectively solving the problem of difficult delivery in these areas.
In the future, Amazon’s logistics expansion plan in Brazil remains ambitious. It is expected to add 1,900 service points in the coming months, making its logistics network more dense and efficient.
II. Significant Achievements Brought by Logistics Expansion
The continuous expansion of the logistics network has brought various significant achievements to Amazon’s operations in Brazil.
In terms of delivery timeliness, the improvement is particularly obvious. In the past, delivery to remote areas took 5 days, but now it has been shortened to within 24 hours, which has greatly improved the shopping experience of consumers in these areas. Currently, Amazon has achieved efficient delivery services of same-day delivery in more than 200 cities and next-day delivery in more than 3,600 cities in Brazil, fully meeting consumers’ demand for quick receipt of goods.
At the economic and social level, Amazon’s logistics expansion has also made outstanding contributions. It has directly created 18,000 jobs, providing more employment opportunities for local residents. Meanwhile, it has supported the development of more than 100,000 small and medium-sized sellers, providing strong logistics support for them to expand their markets and increase sales. In addition, it has indirectly driven 170,000 jobs, playing an important role in promoting local economic development and alleviating employment pressure.
III. Amazon Brazil’s Operating Philosophy
Ricardo Pagani, head of Amazon Brazil’s operations, said that the company has always adhered to the business model of “global technology + local cooperation”. In the operation process, it combines globally advanced technologies and management experience with the actual situation in Brazil. By continuously investing in technological innovation and optimizing the logistics network, it is committed to providing better services for customers and contributing to Brazil’s economic and social development.
The expansion of Amazon’s logistics network in Brazil is not only a need for the company’s own development but also injects strong impetus into the development of the local e-commerce industry, and its influence will further expand in the future.
